Got a text from us?
It's about your prescription.

Your doctor's office sent your prescription to SatComRx. We're not a pharmacy. We check it with your insurance and sort out anything that would hold it up. Then you choose the pharmacy, and we send it there.

Texts from SatComRx Sample conversation
Monday, 9:20 am

Hi Jordan, this is SatComRx. Dr. Example's office sent us your prescription. Your insurance wants a form from your doctor first. We've started it and we'll text you when there's an answer.

Wednesday, 10:50 am

Your insurance approved it. Where would you like to fill it? Reply 1 for your usual pharmacy, 2 for a different one, 3 for home delivery.

Done. We've sent it to Main Street Pharmacy. Give them a couple of hours, and call us if there's any trouble.

What happens next

  1. We text you

You'll hear from us when your prescription arrives. Save our number so you know it's us next time.

  2. We check with your insurance

Sometimes a plan wants a form from your doctor first. It's called a prior authorization. We handle it with their office. You don't need to call anyone.

  3. You choose where to fill it

Your usual pharmacy, a different one, or delivery to your door. Reply to our text or call us.

  4. It's on its way

We send the prescription where you asked and text you to confirm.

You pick the pharmacy

We don't choose for you, and you can change your mind next time.

  • Your usual pharmacy

Tell us which one and we'll send it there. Nothing about your pharmacy changes.

  • A different pharmacy

Closer to work, open later, or one that has it in stock today. Any pharmacy that takes electronic prescriptions.

  • Home delivery

Pick a pharmacy that delivers and it comes to your door. Tell us which one when your prescription is ready.

Is this text really from us?

  • Our texts come from (844) 602-1702. If the number doesn't match, don't reply.
  • We never ask for your Social Security number, a card number or a password by text.
  • Still not sure? Call us, or call your doctor's office and ask if they use SatComRx.

Questions patients ask

Is SatComRx a pharmacy?

No. We don't fill prescriptions or hand out medication. Your doctor's office uses us to sort out insurance paperwork first. After that, your prescription goes to the pharmacy you choose, and they fill it.

Do I have to pay for this?
Replace before publishing

[Say plainly whether patients pay anything beyond their normal copay, and what delivery costs.]

Can I keep using my own pharmacy?

Yes. Tell us which pharmacy and we'll send your prescription there once your insurance has cleared it.

How long will it take?

If your insurance covers it right away, we'll text you the same day. If your plan needs a form from your doctor, it depends on the plan. We'll text you when there's an answer, and you can call us any time to ask where things stand.

I need my medication today. What should I do?

Call us at (844) 602-1702. We'll tell you the fastest way to get it.

What if I don't want text messages?

Reply STOP and we'll call you instead.
