Send it to one place.
Fill it anywhere.
SatComRx is a patient access service. Send us the prescription and we check coverage and work the prior auth if there is one. Your team hears from us inside your EMR, the patient by text. Once it's clear, we send it to the pharmacy the patient picks: their usual one, a different one, or one that delivers.

The only change is where you send it
SatComRx appears as a destination in your EMR's e-prescribing list. Select it, mark it as a favorite, and prescribe the way you always have.
Nothing to install
We receive prescriptions over the same e-prescribing network your EMR already uses. If your EMR can e-prescribe, it works.
Nothing new to log into
Everything we send your prescribers and their team arrives as a message inside your EMR, through a direct messaging integration. There's no portal to check.
Nothing changes for refills
Once a patient is filling at their own pharmacy, renewals reach your office the way they always have.

What we clear before it reaches a counter
Most prescription problems surface days later, at a pharmacy counter, and come back to your office as a phone call. We find them first.
-
Coverage
We check the prescription against the patient's plan as soon as it arrives. If it needs a prior auth or isn't covered, that shows up in our queue, not at a pharmacy counter days later.
-
Prior authorizations
We start the request, prefill it, pull the documentation together and follow the plan until there's a decision. Your prescriber reviews a finished request instead of typing one.
-
Drugs the plan won't cover
When the plan wants something else, we message the prescriber inside your EMR with the reason and the covered options. They decide whether to switch or appeal. If it's an appeal, we put the packet together.
-
Pre-approved alternatives
Your clinicians can go a step further and put a written protocol in place that names the formulary alternatives and preferred products they're comfortable with. When a plan won't cover the original, we bring the pre-approved alternative to the prescriber, ready for them to act on. We don't issue, change or substitute a prescription on our own.
-
The patient's questions
Patients get a text when we receive the prescription, while anything is pending, and when it's clear. "Where's my medication?" comes to us.
-
Getting it to their pharmacy
We don't fill prescriptions. Once it's clear, the patient names a pharmacy and we send it there. Chain, independent or grocery store: their call.
-
Home delivery
Patients who'd rather not make the trip can pick a pharmacy that delivers. They tell us their preferred one when the prescription is ready.
Where it gets filled is the patient's call
We ask by text once the prescription is clear. There are three answers, and none of them is the default.
Their usual pharmacy
The one already on file with your office. Most patients pick this.
A different pharmacy
Closer to work, open later, or one that has it in stock today.
Home delivery
A pharmacy that delivers, chosen by the patient.
Hi Jordan, this is SatComRx. Dr. Example's office sent us your prescription. Your insurance wants a form from your doctor first. We've started it and we'll text you when there's an answer.
Wednesday, 10:50 amYour insurance approved it. Where would you like to fill it? Reply 1 for your usual pharmacy, 2 for a different one, 3 for home delivery.

Done. We've sent it to Main Street Pharmacy. Give them a couple of hours, and call us if there's any trouble.
The prescriber decides. The patient chooses.
- We don't choose the drug, change the therapy, or decide medical necessity.
- Nothing goes to a plan without the prescriber's decision behind it.
- We don't fill prescriptions or process claims. The patient names the pharmacy, and we send it there.
Getting started
-
Intro call
Fifteen minutes with whoever handles pharmacy callbacks and PAs at your office today. We ask what takes the most time, and tell you plainly whether we can help.
-
Sign the agreement
One agreement covers the whole practice and includes integrated EMR access. Your counsel is welcome to review it.
-
15-minute training
Your staff completes one 15-minute training session for a quick start. After that, you're ready to send us prescriptions.
What our patients say
"They called me when they were problems and assisted with the prior authorization..."
"These guys [are] great to work with. They are easy to get on the phone and very patient and helpful..."
Questions offices ask first
Something else? Call (844) 602-1702.
What does it cost, and how are you paid?
[Offices will ask this before anything else, because "patients can fill anywhere" and "no charge" raise the obvious question. Answer it plainly, in wording your healthcare counsel has reviewed.]
Does it work with our EMR?
Sending to us works with any EMR that can e-prescribe, because we receive prescriptions over the same network it already uses. Our messages back to your prescribers and their team arrive inside your EMR, through a direct messaging integration. [Name the EMRs your messaging integration supports today, and say what happens for one that isn't on the list yet.]
Is SatComRx a pharmacy?
No. SatComRx is a patient access service. We don't dispense, and no prescription is ever filled by us. We clear the coverage and paperwork problems, then send the prescription to the pharmacy the patient chooses.
Which pharmacy fills the prescription?
Whichever one the patient names. We ask by text once the prescription is clear. A pharmacy that delivers is one of the choices, not the default.
Can you switch a patient to a covered alternative?
Not on our own. If your practice sets up a written, clinician-approved protocol, we can present or route a pre-approved alternative to the prescriber for their action when a plan won't cover the original. Each protocol names the approving clinician and NPI, the drug classes it covers, any exclusions, the date it takes effect, and the date it comes up for review. Without a protocol, we send the prescriber the covered options and they decide.
What about specialty medications?
If the patient's plan requires an accredited specialty pharmacy, the pharmacy options we offer the patient match that requirement.
How do we reach you about a specific prescription?
Call (844) 602-1702. Each office has a named contact on our team.
